The a2 Milk Co. Ltd. engages in the distribution and sale of milk and dairy products. It operates through the following segments: Australia and New Zealand, China and Other Asia, USA, and Mataura Valley Milk. The Australia and New Zealand segment derives revenue from infant formula, milk and dairy products, along with royalty and license fee income. The China and Other Asia segment includes exporting of infant formula, milk, and dairy products. The USA segment receives external revenue from milk sales and license fees. The Mataura Valley Milk segment is involved in manufacturing and sale of nutritional and commodity products. The company was founded by Corran McLachlan and Howard Paterson on February 17, 2000, and is headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand.
