Description

Stella-Jones, Inc. engages in the manufacture of wood utility poles for electrical utilities and telecommunication companies. It operates through the Pressure-Treated Wood, and Logs and Lumber segments. The Pressure-Treated Wood segment includes the production and sale of utility poles, railway ties, residential lumber, and industrial products. The Logs and Lumber segment consist of the sales of logs harvested during the procurement process that are determined to be unsuitable for use as utility poles, as well as excess lumber to local home-building markets. The company was founded on October 26,1992 and is headquartered in Montreal, Canada.
