IGO is also invested in a joint venture with Tianqi Lithium Corporation which holds interests in the Greenbushes Lithium Mine and a downstream lithium hydroxide refinery located in Kwinana, Western Australia. The company is also active in exploration for new nickel, copper and lithium deposits, with significant landholdings in Western Australia, Northern Territory, South Australia and also in Greenland. The company was founded in May 2000 and is headquartered in South Perth, Australia.
